Color Wave by Living Water Quilter

Updated: Sep 4, 2019

I had the pleasure of testing this gorgeous Color Wave quilt pattern by Living Water Quilter, Dena Wilkins. When Dena approached me after one of our quilt guild meetings to ask if I would be interested in testing, I jumped at the chance! The pattern appears intricate and you have to do a double-take when you realize it only contains TWO different blocks!

I chose a group of fabrics from the Premium Quilting Cotton section at Joann. With the included coloring page and fabric requirement chart in the pattern, it was easy to decide which colors to pick and where to place them within the quilt.

I really enjoyed making this quilt, the instructions were easy to follow and the quilt comes together pretty quickly for as many blocks this quilt contains. I consider myself a beginner quilter, but I think anyone who has the science down of chain piecing can really fly through this quilt. I’ve included a few photos that I took during the process. I will provide some links to the products shown and used here.

The best part of testing this pattern is that I get to giveaway the pattern and a charm pack of Mermaid Cove by designer Kathy Engle and a copy of the Color Wave Quilt Pattern to one lucky winner.

To enter the giveaway, comment on this blog post to win. The contest will open on September 3rd and close at 12 p.m. EST on September 6th. This is open to US Residents only.
